The Top Resin Driveway Colours in Exeter

Charlie Clark • December 5, 2025

Exeter and surrounding areas like Exmouth, Okehampton, Dawlish, Cullompton etc. are becoming extremely well known for resin driveways, patios, and pathways.

Resin surfaces have been our specialty at Clark's Resin Driveways for many years. As a result, we have a solid sense of which colors are most in style here and why.

First up is Windsor Grey. It should come as no surprise that this contemporary and fashionable combination of black, grey and white angular stones is so popular. As you can see from the final patio photo, Windsor Grey blends incredibly well with contemporary homes. It appears smooth and seamless and isn't overly "in your face." For more recent homes with white, grey, or black accents, Windsor Frey is our favourite.

Richmond comes next. Anyone who happens to come across this colour is sure to be impressed. Because it's unique and thrilling, it's well-liked in Devon and beyond. This blend contains lovely greys, blacks, and whites. The finished product looks fantastic and goes well with more traditional homes, particularly when combined with white render. Cottages or farm houses look fantastic with it. Despite this, Richmond can still be a fantastic choice because many contemporary homes are also constructed with white render.

Last but not least is Brindle. A much sleeker and more understated finish than the one above. Because it still offers the permeability and design advantages of tarmac, it is frequently used as a substitute. If the entire estate has tarmac, Brindle is a great way to add a unique (and more resilient) finish without standing out too much. In Exeter and the neighbouring towns, this blend is utilized on both traditional and contemporary properties.

Why are these colours so well-liked?

Even though we have access to more than 150 colours, we would estimate that 70% of all orders are drawn to these colours. The reason, in our opinion, is straightforward: customers prefer to know exactly how the final product will look rather than taking a chance with a novel or unusual colour. Customers can easily envision their surface in these same colours because they have frequently seen our work on nearby streets.

Additionally, these three hues can be used simultaneously for luxury, modern, classic, and affordable properties. Windsor Grey is for the understated, Richmond is for the contemporary, and Brindle is for the classic.
